At Salzburg, everything seems to connect with Mozart naturally! So we started our programme with Mozart's Sonata. His early Sonata in D is a joyful children play! Not so technical demanding but truly great musically!
Neil and Veronica rearranged Arensky Shilouette Suites for Piano 4 hands, and introduced Greig's
The second half was more 'dramatic'! The music of Arensky ~ Silhouette Suite for 2 piano! But we rearranged it into 4 hands for we had have one piano in the concert! We played 3 movements: The Scholar, the Coquette, and the Dancer. The concert finished by Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite, and we do our 'avant-guard' inside-the-piano technique to share with Salzburg audience!!! It went surprisingly well and there were enthusiastic standing applause!!!
Mozart's mum's house in St. Gilgen
After concert we travelled and had a good time together in St. Gilgen! It's said to be Mozart's mother's home town! Just 50 minutes by bus from Salzburg, we reached this pure lake land! Unfortunately everything was closed for the late Feb season… but the air and beauty of nature were never closed which were more than enough to refresh and delight my mind !
